As Associate Technical Director Swine at Provimi, you are responsible, in close cooperation with the Technical Director Swine and the Research Director Swine, for the definition and implementation of the Provimi swine nutrition portfolio, location Rotterdam/Velddriel (The Netherlands).

In 2009, Provimi started Feed Solutions, a company-wide initiative to create a global technology and marketing structure for Provimi, to assist customers to cope with the pressures they face in their business. To further strengthen the team for Swine Nutrition we are searching for a highly-motivated Associate Technical Director Swine.

Position

• Responsible in close cooperation with the Technical Director Swine and the Research Director Swine for the definition and implementation of the Provimi swine nutrition portfolio
• Provide high-level support to other technical functions within Provimi
• Constantly gather knowledge on nutritional values of feedstuffs, additives and feeds, determination of nutrient requirements of high-yielding animals
• Take the lead in knowledge transfer from Feed Solutions to the regional clusters in areas of sow and finisher nutrition management
• Participate in the innovation process of new product development for swine
• Regularly visit scientific international conferences, meet and discuss with farmers
• Report to the Technical Director Swine, based in Spain.

Profile

• Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition or similar, possibly with an additional PhD
• Relevant and senior work experience in the area of swine nutrition, preferably with formulation experience in the feed industry
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams in an international business setting, with regular travel (approx. 20%)
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably a good command of other European languages
• Personal skills: self-starting, initiator, entrepreneurial, hands-on mentality and team player
