With industrial facilities in Europe, North Africa and the USA, they produce natural ingredients for the flavouring, nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

They are now creating a position of R&D Engineer to join their Laboratory dedicated to Colorings formulations and applications.

THE POSITION

This position reports to the Colorings R&D Manager, based in the British laboratory close to Birmingham. This Engineer is globally in charge of both:

-          Developing worldwide specific Colorings applications for customers

-          Extending the existing range of products in order to offer the most accurate solutions

For those purposes, he/she will work personally on applications following briefs for the sales forces and meet customers during visits. He/she will also follow up internal projects of development from designing products to formulation, technical sheets and support to production.

As first assistant of the manager, he/she will progressively take part of the technicians team management.

The position is located around Birmingham, in the UK.

THE PROFILE

- 2/3 years of experience in R&D applications from the food industry, preferably from food ingredients, colorings or flavorings

- An educational background in either Agri-Food or Chemistry Engineering

- First experience in a little team’s management

- French good understanding will be a plus

- Sales acumen combined with energy, curiosity and involvement

- Good organisational skills with a self-starter spirit
